Let’s Play Cities Skylines: Fairview Shores EP19 – Building More Industrial Infrastructure

Spread the love

The next episode of Fairview Shores is here!  Be sure to watch the video, give it a like, and subscribe to my channel to follow along.

Where we’re at now:

Above:  The city’s current status.  We did not grow much this episode as most of the time was spent with the simulation paused.  However, we did focus a lot of efforts on putting infrastructure in place to have space for industrial zoning in future episodes.

Below:  Traffic status.  The flow continues to remain steady, despite some hot spots.  Even the red areas flow well, without any standstills.

Above:  This episode we added a new metro line that runs from New Texas through the new industrial districts, and Fairview.  Eventually this line will also continue further into some planned high density residential zoning near the waterfront.

Below:  The main build of the episode, the roads and basic infrastructure for the new industrial areas.  This space will have oil and ore specialized industry along with more generic industry.

Above: We added this interchange to give road access to the new industrial area.

Below:  An overview of the area to show where the new industrial area is located, and give a sense of the size.  This will provide a large amount of jobs to the area but also has the potential to create some traffic issues.

Above:  A look at the land values in the region.

Below:  A look at the existing generic industrial area, which is quite full.  This is why we needed to increase the area devoted to industry.

Above:  A similar look at part of the farming district, just for kicks.  🙂

Below:  Glamour Shots.
